“Invest India” won the 2020 United Nations Investment promotion Award declared by United Nations conference trade and Development (UNCTAD) according to released by Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation agency in India is a non-profit venture was established in 2009 under the department for promotion of industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of commerce and Industry, Government of India.
The United Nations Conference Trade and Development has taken an award ceremony on Monday and recognizes and celebrates the outstanding performance and achievement of world best practice of investment promotion agencies.
This award was based on United Nations Conference Trade and Development (UNCTAD) assessment on work under taken by 180 national investment promotion agencies.
“Congratulations to Invest India for winning the 2020 United Nations Investment Promotion Award given by UNCTAD This is a testimony to our government’s focus on making India the world’s preferred investment destination & improving ease of doing business” PM Narendra Modi tweeted.
The Union Commerce Minister said that Corona crisis has generated new challenges for Investment Promotion Agencies, provision of crisis support services and contribution to corona business response efforts.
