NEW DELHI, DEC 24: Raghav Chadda, the Vice President of Delhi Jal Board, on Thursday claimed that BJP workers ransacked Delhi Jal Board Office at Jhandewalan and threatened the office staff. Taking to his official twitter handle Raghav Chadda highlighted “around 250 people barged into my office and broke the glasses, doors and pots. They threatened my staff and attacked them.” The incident took place around 12:30 in the afternoon. Advocating further, he contended that they warned Kejriwal to stop supporting the farmers’ protest.
According to the reports, BJP workers had come to protest at the Delhi Jal Board headquarters which was proceeded by vandalism. Some police personnel were also injured.
As per Hindustan times, a police officer suggested that no Aam Admi Party members have been injured and the Delhi police have detained BJP unit chief Adesh Gupta along with 30 other protestors. Moreover, an FIR was also being registered at the DGB road police station.
BJP spokesperson Virendra Babar outrightly rejected these allegations, arguing that all these was staged by the Aam Admi Party to malign the saffron party and that ‘we are not afraid of these tactics.’
NDTV reported, ‘the BJP had claimed it was in retaliation to a breach of privacy of their women workers. People from the chief minister’s office were placing CCTV cameras where the women protesters were sleeping.’
